"What is that Stranger doing?"

Margaret has become all but obsessed these days with strangers. It is really funny the things she has said about them. I am not sure where all this is coming from....She used to ask " who is that?" about anyone we passed while driving or people walking on the sidewalk or wherever. Now, that has changed to "Look at that Stranger!" or "Mommy, what is that Stranger doing?" or one of my favorites, "It's a good thing you talked to that Stranger!" She said this smiling and very proud of me for saying hello to a nice older woman who was in fact a stranger in the Piggly Wiggly the other day. We have talked about not talking to strangers unless she is with an adult and then have let her know it is alright to say hello or answer when someone asks how old she is. It is hard to teach a child safety and manners when it comes to strangers---WHO KNEW! Margaret is so observant and SO vocal that I dread the day when she says, "Look mommy that stranger is picking his nose--you tell me that is gross!" I know that day is coming!!

She's a funny girl! I love that you are keeping a record of all of the things she says. It will be so much fun for her to read this one day!
