Christmas Morning
Margaret actually slept a little later than usual on Christmas
morning. She opened her eyes and looked at me sleepily and did not really even mention going to see if Santa had come until I brought it up. I asked her if she thought Santa had come and then her
eyes lit up with excitement as she remembered that she had been really good and he probably had come! She walked into the dining room to find her prizes, and.......Margaret was very quiet when she first saw her kitchen set. I asked her what it was and she said through a
questioning smile, "A tea set?" A tea set is the only thing that Margaret really asked for consistently. When she found her kitchen set, I think she though we were confused about what she really wanted and she was trying to figure it all out. I told her it was a kitchen set and asked if she liked it. She obviously did and played with it for a while until moving into the den for the next surprise.
Margaret was again very excited to find the train table that Santa had left her. She is in love with Thomas the Train and was delighted to have the table. She was also pretty excited that Mommy and Daddy each got trains in our stockings to share and play with on the new table.
Margaret made sure that Sammy, Romeo, and Max also opened their presents. I think she was more excited about the animal presents than the animals were!
My sweet Margaret, we had a wonderful Christmas morning and I look forward to sooooo many, many more. I love the sweet, excited look that you got when you walked into the room and saw your prizes. I LOVE the way you asked if your kitchen set was a tea set! You were so adorably confused! You were very sweet and thoughtful as your daddy, the animals and I opened our presents and really took your time with each of yours. I hope that you had as much fun as we did on this Christmas morning.
