Baby Showers for Margaret
Since I started this blog just before Margaret turned two, I obviously missed many of the exciting events that happened before she was born and in the first year or so of her life. So, I have decided to slowly catch up. If anyone out there knows how to get these posts at the beginning of the blog I would love that information. Putting them out of sequence really messes up my peace! =-) However, I am going to do it anyway so that one day Margaret can look back and see a complete picture of our truly blessed "Margaret Days"from the very beginning.

I was lucky enough to have three baby showers before Margaret made her early arrival. The first was given by Jonathan's family. Jonathan's cousins and aunts did a great job hosting the shower at the church where he grew up.

We ended up with lots of pretty clothes (and much more) for our special girl! This was a great way to start preparing for Margaret!
My next shower was hosted by my cousins Emilyand Trisha, all of my mom's sister's, and my Aunt Sandra. It was at Aunt Sandra's house and happened to be on the Saturday after I was put on bedrest (on Friday). Despite some contractions, we had a great time at the shower!

Grace, one of my favorite patients, joined us at the shower and helped me open gifts.
Aren't Aunt Junelle, Mom, Grandmama, Aunt Patricia, and Aunt Junette pretty posing for a picture!?
I was so glad that Emily flew home to give me this shower! If she could have stayed just 2 1/2 more days she would have been here for Margaret's birth....we did not know Marg was going to be an early bird!
This is my Grandmama. I did not know when this picture was taken that Margaret would be named for her. The naming process was REALLY tough for us. Finally, just minutes before we left the hospital we named our pretty girl Margaret Kathleen. Margaret after Grandmama who is Janie Margaret and Kathleen after my Granny who was Kathleen Campbell.
My last shower was on Sunday and was given by my friends Anna, Julie, and Emily. I am not sure why I do not have better pictures of this shower. Possibly because we were all a little freaked by the frequent contractions I was having???? =-) The beautiful rattle cake at the top of this post was from this shower. Emily made it and it tasted even better than it looked! YUMMY!If I have any more pictures from this shower on my computer I will post them!

Just a few short hours after this picture was taken, we belly casted then went to the hospital for the second time. They put me on STRICT bedrest and sent me home. I guess the excitement of the showers is not really what they meant by bedrest, hugh? Oh well, we had a bunch of fun!!
