More Funny Margaret Moments....

I know that my sweet child will help me to live longer....especially if laughing lengthens your life!
On Thursday, Margaret and I had a nice morning at home. I stepped away for about 2 seconds to go to the bathroom that is right near the kitchen. I heard Marg calling me and I told her I would be right there. She continued to call, rather frantically, so I hurried and ran to her. I found her hanging from the sink saying "I have potty too." She had pushed our kitchen stool to the sink to "wash hands", the stool slipped away from her, thus the hanging on for dear life, and the water made her have to pee pee! I caught her mid-pee and we both laughed as we cleaned up. I sure wish I had a photo of her hanging onto the sink--it was a sight to see!

Everyone knows that Mom is famous for making "forgotten cookies." She always makes them when we go to the beach and for any and all special occasions. She made them while we were at the beach with the ladies. Anyway, this week Margaret stated that she likes Emily's cookies. Mom was not sure what she was talking about so asked "Emily who?" Margaret replied "Emily Spings white cookies." Who knew that the child knew Emily's full name--even if she did get it a little wrong....Mom was quite flabergasted that our dear friend Emily was given credit for her traditional cookies. She insisted on making a batch with Margaret to prove to her that they were really Guh-Guh's cookies!

This evening, we had supper with Jonathan's parents. Margaret was very excited to spend some time with "Mimi" and "Gramps." They have been doing lots of projects since Mimi retired, including starting to build a porch, building a large storage shed, re-shingling the house, and buying a new computer. Margaret immediatly asked if the new shed was a "pay house" (play house). She had a lot of "running way" (running away) around the shed after we ate supper.

We enjoyed making the cookies together and Marg was a very good helper. When we took the 2 pans of cookies out of the oven Friday morning to take a picture and eat a few, Margaret said, " I want to eat all the cookies now!" I had to convince her that it would be better to save some for later.
Love, Guh-Guh
