More California Pics

Margaret and I had a BIG vacation at the end of the summer. We flew on a "really big airplane" to see Auntie Em and the baby in her tummy. The flight was much better than expected and the visit was a lot of fun! It was so nice to enjoy the beautiful weather (much cooler there than here in Aug) and be able to walk everywhere! Aunt Sandra was also in California and we all had a great time visiting and preparing for baby!! Margaret had a few moments of being three and we almost had California DSS called on us--but that is for another post!!
We were able to go to the baby shower that Michael's family threw for Emily and Michael and new baby while we were there. Margaret found that Michael's nephews love trains as much as she does and they became fast friends.

Marg also enjoyed helping Auntie Emily with the gifts and visiting with Kimberly and Rich. On the first of our MANY walks, Margaret spotted the Ferris Wheel at the the Pier in the distance. THis became her one thing she REALLY wanted to do! I thought she might be scared once we got up close to it and she saw how big it was.....I was wrong. She loved ridign it and being REALLY high up. The view was beautiful! She also really enjoyed riding the indoor Carosel with her best friend Madeline(who by the way we did find shortly after she was lost!). Along with getting ready for new baby, Emily and Michael were in the process of buying a new home while we were out visiting. This is the house.....I am so excited for Emily and Michael! The house has great potential and a really great yard. I can't wait to visit again soon and see what changes they have made!

Margaret ran and played in the Pacific with Michael and his dad. It was great fun!!
There was a great Farmer's Market where Emily, Aunt Sandra, Michael, Kimberly, Margaret and I enjoyed sampling all kinds of wonderful citrus fruits and playing a cool, modern looking playground.
Margaret also loved climbing on the really crazy trees that are just above the cliff down to the ocean. Just yesterday, she said "I wish one day to have a climbing tree in my back yard!" She is truly a monkey and loves to climb any tree!

There is a great park about two blocks from Emily and Michael's apartment. We enjoyed several mornings there. Notice the sweater that Marg was wearing at the beginning of Aug! The weather was sooooooo GREAT!
