Waiting for Baby......
Can you tell that Melissa is ready for this baby?! She is looking lower and lower and it continues to be really tight. As we speak she is having Braxton-Hicks....After talking to Mom and Melissa when I got home from work, we decided it would be best for Marg and me to go ahead and head to the lake. We really thought that last night was the night and wanted to avoid us traveling those dark roads that have NO good cell service in the middle of the night. Anyway, as has been typical, we planned too much and the baby got scared and stayed put!
We began today with a walk. Then began some tidying, playing and just waiting for something exciting to happen. We all caught a nap before Melissa's midwife appointment.
Margaret was tired after all of her hard work cleaning "EO'S" floors. The girls loves a vaccuum, mop, or in this case, a SWIFTER!! She said to Guh-Guh, "I tell mommy get purple and silver one yike dis." She actually does a really good job cleaning! I will have to invest in a Swifter.
Margaret has also enjoyed reading Baby "Pumpkin LiJah's" books while we wait for him or her to come. She was ready to pose for the camera when she saw that I had it out, and even said "cheese!"
Melissa, Elliott and I went to the appointment and found out that the Braxton-Hicks contractions that Melissa has been having have been doing something--she is 1 loose cm dialated, 50% effaced, has a soft cervix, and the baby is at -1 station. This is all REALLY good news and the midwife seemed to feel that we MAY have a baby in the next several days or so. However, she did go ahead and schedule and appointment for next week!
After the appointment, we have just relaxed. Margaret thought she was really cool wearing Mommy's shoes. Again, she was quite willing for me to take a picture! I think the positive re-inforcement of taking pictures of Marg while she is doing lots of good and cute things (minus the lotion/sunscreen incidents) is really paying off!

I suggested that we go outside and she was in the middle of playing something else so I went ahead and went out knowing she would be close behind. Mom reported that she was shocked I went out without her and stated, "I think Mommia got in car, and went back home, and left without me." MOm was amazed that she got out that whole sentence, partly becasue she is only 2 and partly because she was quite broken hearted! Mom quickly assured her that I would never leave her without telling her and they soon found me in the hammock.
After a relaxing swing and lots of laughing with Margaret, we went inside for supper and then for ANOTHER walk. Melissa had several contractions during the walk and is walking a little differently than she was. I will not speculate as to if that means anything.....

It looks like y'all are having lots of fun! We really wish we could have stayed long enough for Margaret & the boys to play together! I hope she got over the fact that a boy was in her bed! :)
We can't wait to meet that baby & see you all soon!
