Marg is definately a DARE DEVIL!

Today Margaret was a very good girl! While being a good girl, she helped me go through toys that she has outgrown, vaccuum, dust and tidy the house for her party on Saturday. It was such a nice morning that we had the french doors open with the deck gated off so she could go in and out. She had a ball strolling her babies back and forth. I was right there in the den and kitchen cleaning. Anyway, the phone rang and I turned away for maybe 15 seconds and turned back to find my "almost 2" year old child hanging from the other side of the deck. This is sort of difficult to explain--it freaked me out--she was hanging like she was scaling the up the deck but she had not footing. I screamed, told her to hold on, not to let go and ran to her. Well, the gate hindered me...by the time I got to her she had let go and had fallen about 4 feet to land flat on her back--luckily on some very soft grassy dirt. She was quite surprised and maybe scared for about a second. After we both realized that she was alright, she smiled and said "do it gen" (do it again!!)
I asked Margaret what she was thinking climbing through the railing and she reported that "Max (the cat) did it". Well, my goodness, if she is going to start doing everything the cat does I am REALLY in trouble. For the rest of the morning I stuck to my little monkey like glue. I heard her asking her baby doll if she was ok--HE HE HE--probably because I asked her this so frantically after she fell! She replayed the incident with her baby a few times. Kids are so funny. Lesson to be learned--NEVER TURN YOUR BACK ON A TWO YEAR OLD!!!
