The New Play Room!
This morning Margaret was excited when I told her that I had a surprise for her downstairs. Little did she know, that while she slept last night her daddy and I changed our dining room into a play room. Yes, we are truly parents and are giving up lots of our space for her enjoyment! It is really nice to have most of her toys in one room instead of some in the den, kitchen.....anyway, this toy room will be tasteful not tacky since it is in what used to be our pretty dining room! Anyway, as I explained that there was a surprise, Margaret ran to the top of the stairs and asked Ho Ho?? I guess she was remembering all of the Christmas morning surprises? I was speechless. I could not believe that she was just as excited about the "surprise" (which included NO new toys) as she was Christmas morning and I was amazed that she compared the two! We ventured downstairs and she exclaimed "OH, WOW!" just as she had on Christmas morning. She was not at all disappointed that there was nothing new and she really seems to like the new set up.
As you can see, the room is red now. We are changing it to an eggplant sort of color to match the new rug that we found and love. The rug ties to together our new, brighter green kitchen and the future eggplantish play room. Hopefully, the paint job will be done by the end of the week, but we will see how many coats it takes to cover the RED!! We will post the finished room soon!
