Fabulous Thursday Morning....
This past Thursday morning, Margaret and I were so happy to have a day all to ourselves. I started work this week and worked everyday to get oriented and on track--so we have missed our mommy-marg time. She was an absolute hoot while we ate breakfast and got dressed. Her favorite thing to pretend these days is to be "EO" or "Punkin LIvia."
Here are some some hilarious things that I had to write down that she said!! I was laughing histerically!!-She came into my room looking around and holding her chest, "I'm EO. I have milk in my boobies. I'm looking for my pumper." (we were thinking Marg's days of pumping were over becasue she has not even mentioned it since that last post --guess we were wrong!)
-Next as she was dressing, "I'm big! I need big clothes like EO!" I asked her if jeans would do because EO likes to wear jeans and she responded, "I need big jeans, I need big panties! Look I can jump like EO!"

Please notice Margaret's outfit--beads and all. She was SO proud of dressing all by herself--down to the shoes. She proudly stated that she was going to share her gold neclace with Aunt Bobby when we got to hte library. So off to the library we went, before the TERRIBLE virus showed up!!
Margaret and I had a very nice walk/ride to the library. Because of some hectic days and our beach trip we have not been making our weekly trip to the library for the past few weeks. We have been really missing seeing Aunt Bobby and we needed to "borro" (it is hard to type like she says it--so cute) some new books, so off we went! About half way there, Margaret said, "Nex time I wan ride in the jogger not on my bike."
That should have clued me in that she was not 100%!! Anyway, we had a great time picking out books and and visiting a little with Aunt Bobby. The ride home was a little hot. Notice in the picture below Marg is holding onto her cup of "cold water, peas" and looking a little more ragged than she did when we started our adventure.
Who would know this was the face of a child who would have 103.2 temp (at its highest YIKES) and would be throwing up just mere hours after this photo was taken. At nap time, I noticed Marg was a little warm and she was complaining of a head ache. I figured she had gotten too hot on our ride home and was overtired so I did what any good mom would do and gave her some delicious grape tylenol. Thank goodness I did! After30 minutes she woke up feeling really rotten. I finally was able to take her temp (she hates thermometers) and it was over 101. This is the highest temp my girl has ever had! I was freaked out and she felt just crummy and was still complaining a bad headache. I called the MD office and they said to just monitor her since the headache was her only symtom. Meanwhile, her temp kept going up instead of down. By around 7 or so it was over 102 and she threw up--I was really worried and called Ms. Celestia and Stacie to come over and called the nurse on call. Luckily, Stacie is fast and full of great suggestions. We put Marg in a cool bath--Stacie helped her while I talked to the nurse, who said bring her to the ER if the temp went above 105! She was obviously and IDIOT! I was planning on taking her if it got any worse at all. Right after the bath it was 103.2. Then it started creeping down. After another cool bath and motrin and lots of rocking and hugging she finally started to cool off. It was a rough night! Mom came to keep Marg while I worked on Wed--I could not call and say I was not coming on my first week! By 1:30 she called to tell me to come home to take the little monkey to the doctor. Her throat was hurting. So off we went. After waiting FOREVER (never go to the MD late on a Friday afternoon) we were finally seen. Thank goodness Margaret tested negative for strep throat. The doctor said she just had a mean virus and that time would make her feel better. So, we have laid low this weekend. Yesterday the fever was much lower than it has been since Thurs and last night and this am she has really not been hot enough to even check. Thankfully she is feeling much better--Thank the Good Lord--a sick two year old is NO picnic!! It is so hard seeing her sick! Hopefully, we have paid our dues with illness for a while! I can't handle anymore scares and sleepless nights like this for a long time!!
